The SCOTT TURECAMO is a former towing tug that OT&BE engineered into and AT/B tug.  Originally a Halter Marine design, OT&BE and PK Marine redesigned the tug for AT/B service, and covered all aspects of design and refit in the process.

OT&BE designed an entire new tower and pilothouse for the tug.  In addition, the third U.S. application of the INTERCON "C" coupler was designed into the vessel by OT&BE.  This involved extensive internal hull modifications, as well as finite element analysis for the modified structure.  OT&BE also designed the notch and associated structure for the new barge NEW HAMPSHIRE building at Bay Ship to accept the newly refit tug.  Paul Gow of PK Marine handled oversight of stability issues, stability tests, new arrangements and overall project design for Moran.  OT&BE worked with PK to deal with stability, SOLAS, the new tower and the INTERCON "C" design.

Sister tug BARNEY TURECAMO (below) received the same AT/B conversion and INTERCON "C" fitting, and currently works with the new build barge GEORGIA.
