BACKGROUND

The Milford Branch is located between Providence and Framingham. It is a large switching area, with a number of industries present.  These include Dow Chemical, (tank cars and center-flo hoppers), Cumberland Engineering, (boxcars), a plumbing supply house, a lumber yard, a team track, a freight forwader, a canning plant and a flour mill. The area features sharp curves due to its' ancestry as an interurban line long ago. All of the structures here are kitbashed from various kits, made from Design Preservation wall sections, or constructed from scratch. Of particular note is the boat shed being built by the owner of the Carl's Canning Co. Most of the structures and scenery in this area were created by Ray Schofield, with assistance by John Breitmeier. Ray's son, Neil, created the large paper mill, at Rumford.
