2001

The CHRISTIAN REINAUER is paired with the double-hulled ocean tank barge RTC 145, built by Alabama Shipyard in Mobile, AL.  The combination operates along the U.S. East Coast moving clean petroleum products.

The tug is a sister to the NICOLE LEIGH REINAUER.  Her CAT 3612 main engines and Lufkin gears are the same as in the NICOLE, but the CHRISTIAN and the sister tug, MEREDITH have a more extensive A/C system, a larger capstan, and a heavier joiner package than their earlier sister.  She also has added fuel and fresh water capacity, while sharing the same stability and loadline as the NICOLE.

The CHRISTIAN was launched in September 2001, and was delivered that in December of that year.
