2001-2002

The SEAHAWK is an 8,000 BHP AT/B tug built for Allied Transportation of Norfolk, VA. She works with a specially-designed 120,000 BBL chemical barge, the ATC 21. Both tug and barge were built at Alabama Shipyard.

This vessel is an improved, near-sister to the 1999-completed S/R EVERETT, sharing the same basic design. However this vessel has added fuel capacity and added capacity in both ballast and fresh water.

Atlantic II Seahawk

Powered by the reliable EMD 16-710 engine, the vessel features Reintjes gears, Detroit Diesel generators, a full SOLAS certification, and an INTERCON connection system. All salt water piping is copper-nickel. There is also a crew lounge fitted on the 03 deck. Accommodation is provided for a crew of up to 10. Delivery of the SEAHAWK occurred in early 2002. Allied owns another OT&BE-designed tug, the SEA EAGLE, built in 1997 by Moss Point Marine.
